Physiotherapist in the rehabilitation department - Hrafnista Laugarás

Hrafnista Laugarás is looking to hire a physiotherapist in a new and powerful rehabilitation department.

We are building a progressive and integrated rehabilitation department and are looking for a physical therapist who is interested in development, innovation and an interdisciplinary approach.

The rehabilitation department consists of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, sports scientists and assistants and services residents and service recipients of day rehabilitation. It is a varied, interdisciplinary and rewarding job that offers great flexibility, a strong team and the opportunity to participate in the formation and development of a new equipment room and good facilities The possibility of outpatient services (ambulant).

This is an 80-100% job.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Diagnosis, rehabilitation, training programs and registration
• Planning the rehabilitation of residents and service recipients day rehabilitation
• Advice and applications for assistive devices
• Education for service recipients and staff
• Teamwork

Educational and competency requirements

• Icelandic work permit as a physiotherapist from the National Health Service
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good organizational skills
• Professional ambition
• Positivity and initiative in work

Physiotherapy is an important factor in promoting an increased quality of life for individuals who have skills impairments of some kind. The goal of rehabilitation departments at Hrafnist homes is to increase and maintain the quality of life of service recipients in a variety of ways and find ways to meet the different needs of each individual.

Hrafnista operates seven nursing homes in the capital area and in Reykjanesbær. They are Laugarás, Sléttuvegur, Skógarbær, Boðaþing, Ísafold, Hraunvangur and Nesvellir.
