Nursing Department Manager - Hrafnista Nesvellir

Hrafnista Nesvellir is looking to hire a nursing department head. The department head manages all day-to-day operations in a 40-resident nursing department and is a leader in nursing and services to residents. 

The department in question is brand new, where care has been taken in design, organization and welfare technology. 

We are looking for a positive, solution-oriented and driven leader who is interested in providing excellent and professional services to the residents of the home and their relatives.

The head of department is part of Hrafnista's management group.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Daily management and operation of the nursing department
• Organization of staff work in accordance with the needs of service recipients
• Responsibility for professional nursing and quality of service
• Planning and development of services in cooperation with the director
• Counseling, communication and education for residents and relatives
• Interdisciplinary teamwork within the home and across Hrafnista

Educational and competency requirements

• Icelandic nursing license
• Management experience an advantage
• Experience with the RAI measuring device is an advantage
• Initiative, positivity and professional ambition
• Excellent communication skills
