On the occasion of Women's Day today, Hrafnista wants to focus on the importance of equality in society and encourage staff, residents and citizens to show solidarity in the fight for equal opportunities.
Hrafnista is one of the largest women's workplaces in Iceland, and every day we see how important the contribution of women and torment is in all our activities in care, service and leadership roles. On Women's Day, we remember this history and the future and that equality must be constantly cultivated with respect, fairness and cooperation.
We encourage women and women who can to participate in the day, but we also remind you how important women and their children work in society is, since not all of them can stop working. We will therefore both celebrate the day at Arnarhól and no less at the workplace where we make ourselves a happy day and think of our former women fighters who started this journey.
All of us at Hrafnista have a role to play in creating a society where equality and humanity are paramount - every day of the year.
