A new technologically advanced career partner has started work at the service center Sléttunni on Hrafnistu Sléttuvegi, but it is a robot that has been named Stefnir. The robot relieves staff when dishes are removed from tables in the dining room and moves them to the dishes. The goal of the robot's introduction is to support daily operations, increase efficiency and relieve staff. In doing so, employees are given more scope to carry out the tasks that are most important in serving residents and guests.
Stefnir travels independently along pre-defined routes and uses sensors to detect its surroundings and avoid obstacles. The robot thus works safely alongside the staff, residents and visitors of the service center.
The experience with Stefni has been positive and it regularly attracts the attention and curiosity of those who come his way.
At Hrafnista, the emphasis is on using innovation and technical solutions, as they can improve services and the working environment. Stefnir is a good example of how technology can become a valuable addition in everyday work.
We welcome the robot Stefni to work at Sléttunn and look forward to continued cooperation.
