By convention, Sailor's Day was celebrated in the Hrafnist homes. There was hospitality in all homes and a special festival program was offered for the occasion.
At Hrafnista in Laugarás, Lúðrasveit Reykjavíkur started the festival as usual in the garden, but due to the strong wind, they retreated into the house. Reverend Sigurður Jónsson led a festival service and as a result, Hjördís Geirs and DAS took care of the band about the fun and sang the fishermen's songs at the cafe in Skálafell.
At Hrafnista Hraunvangi in Hafnarfjörður, Hafnarfjörður's Brass Band started the day by playing over outside the Cultural Hall. Sr. Sighvatur Karlsson, a priest in Hafnarfjörður Church, took care of the ceremony at Sjómannamessa and Matthías Ægisson took care of the accompaniment to the piano. At lunchtime, delicious chops were offered and immediately after noon the program continued and the singer María Bóel sang some old and well-known songs to great acclaim. Coffee was served for guests and pedestrians.
Matthías Ægisson and Heiða Hrönn Harðardóttir played and sang for the residents of Hrafnista Nesvällir and Hrafnista Hlévang in Reykjanesbær, on the occasion of the day, and many people agreed in the song.
On the plain of quality of life core, Hrafnistu Sléttuvegi, the band Sóló took care of the fun.
