The development plan of the Seamen's Day Council, Hrafnista and DAS apartments is a vision and plan for the development of houses and services until the year 2040. The plan is the result of extensive work that began at the beginning of 2023 and is based, among other things, on Hrafnista's policy, the results of the workshops of Hrafnista's staff and managers and DAS apartments, as well as conversations with various stakeholders involved in geriatric services in one way or another.
The aim is to build 50-60 billion nursing homes and serviced apartments to meet the rapidly growing group of senior citizens in the next 15 years. The goal is to ensure diverse residences and service channels for the growing group of older people and respond to the urgent need for around 100 new nursing spaces per year until 2040.
