The Association of Icelandic Nurses recently awarded incentive grants to nurses who have had a positive and influential impact on the development of nursing and health care in Iceland.
Among those who received this worthy recognition is Sunnefa Lindudóttir, nursing department head at Hrafnista Skógarbær Sunnefa received the grant for her entrepreneurship in the implementation of the Namaste approach to Hrafnista Ideology which is concerned with meeting individuals with warmth, respect and deeper connection.
With ambition and sensitivity, Sunnefa has led this approach into the majority of Hrafnista's departments with the aim of promoting the well-being of the population, reducing unrest and providing staff with tools to approach the population with care and love.
