
Major construction has been going on in recent months at Hrafnista Boðaþing in Kópavogur, where a new 64-space nursing home has been built and it will be put into use in the spring months. The new nursing home is connected to the service center and the current nursing home at Boðaþing 5-7, the rental apartments for the elderly at Boðaþing 22-24 and will be connected between these buildings. The first phase of the nursing home, 44 nursing homes, was put into use in 2010 and Hrafnista has been responsible for running the home since the beginning. When the new nursing home is put into use, there will be a total of 108 nursing spaces in the Boðaþing. The building's design and planning has been prominent and experience behind it. The Executive County Ríkiseignir (FSRE) and the town behind the construction of THGogs construction are the main developers of the building.
The attached photo was taken last week when the board of the Seamen's Day Council went on a tour of the new building to monitor the progress of the project.
