Director of the Health Department

We are looking for a positive and solution-oriented person for the position of manager of the health department of Hrafnist homes. The managing director works on strategic planning and development in Hrafnista's services in cooperation with the company's senior managers. The managing director of the health department sits on Hrafnista's executive council. The health department is a support area for all Hrafnista's homes and has the main role of promoting quality and overseeing professional development in working methods. It is done with the intention of providing excellent service for Hrafnista's service recipients and staff.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Daily operation and management of the health department
• Supervising quality and safety issues
• Follow the laws and regulations related to Hrafnista's activities
• Access to the development of training and training of staff
• Communication with Hrafnista's stakeholders
• Innovation and development in healthcare

Educational and competency requirements

• University education in the field of health sciences or similar education that is useful in work, further education preferred
• Comprehensive experience in health matters and knowledge of quality matters necessary
• Management and operations experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership skills
• Initiative, drive and independence in working methods

Hrafnista operates seven nursing homes in the capital area and in Reykjanesbær. They are Laugarás, Sléttuvegur, Skógarbær, Boðaþing, Ísafold, Hraunvangur and Nesvellir.
