Director of Hrafnista Hraunvangi

We are looking for a strong, positive and driven person for the position of director at Hrafnista Hraunvangi in Hafnarfjörður. The director is responsible for the day-to-day operations, quality work and the services provided at home. The person must have strong leadership skills, a good understanding of operations and work according to Hrafnista's vision, strategy and values. The director sits on Hrafnista's executive council.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Responsibility for the day-to-day operations and management of the home
• Responsibility for service, safety and quality
• Ensure that work is carried out according to the laws and regulations on health services
• Responsibility for staff management, guidance and development
• Diverse cooperation and communication with parties inside and outside Hrafnista
• Other incidental tasks 

Educational and competency requirements

• University education in the field of health sciences, further education an advantage
• Comprehensive experience and knowledge of health services
• Successful experience in operations and management
• Leadership skills, initiative and excellent interpersonal skills
• Independence, drive and solution-oriented thinking

Hrafnista Hraunvangi is one of Hrafnista's seven nursing homes and one of the largest. Hrafnista in Hafnafjörður has about 200 inhabitants and about 400 people work there, as well as a day stay, cafe and vigorous social work. Hrafnista runs seven nursing homes in the capital area and Reykjanesbær. They are Laugarás, Sléttuvegur, Skógarbær, Boðaþing, Ísafold, Hraunvangur and Nesvellir.
