Gunnur Helgadóttir has been appointed CEO of Hrafnista. She has been working temporarily since the end of July, but she worked for it as the manager of Hrafnista's health department.
Gunnur has worked at Hrafnista since 2020. Before that, she was the manager of the pharmaceutical company Vistor for almost ten years. She has an MBA degree from the University of Reykjavík and a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Iceland. Gunn also has extensive management experience and work experience as a nurse.
„I take the job with great anticipation and ambition. Hrafnista has a lot of knowledge and a strong staff. I look forward to working forward with this good group to develop the service and create security, trust and well-being for our residents“, Gunni is quoted as saying in a statement.
Hrafnista is the largest operator of nursing homes in Iceland and operates six nursing homes in the capital area and one in Reykjanes. Hrafnista's main goal is to provide excellent service so that residents, other service recipients and relatives experience safety, trust and well-being. Hrafnista is a non-profit-driven subsidiary of the Seamen's Council, and the history of the activity goes back to 1957 when Hrafnista in Laugarás started working.
