Residents of Hrafnistu Sléttuvegi now enjoy looking out at a magnificent outdoor artwork with Icelandic nature, mountains, sea, shelter, cows and a fisherman on a rowboat after it was decided to turn a gray ugly wall into a magnificent work of art.
According to Bryndís Rutar Logadóttir, service manager of Hrafnista Sléttuvegi, the purpose of the artwork is to improve the view of the residents who live on the ground floor of the home. „This first floor has had a gray wall as a view and we didn't think it was quite fun enough“.
The honor of the outdoor artwork is the artist Karen Ýr Sigurbjörnsdóttir, and she says the project at Hrafnista was extremely fun.
