 Hrafnista Nesvellir is looking to hire an assistant head of nursing for an 80-100% job.

The assistant head of nursing is in charge of nursing shifts and is the deputy head of department in his absence and assists with various tasks related to the operation and management of the department. The assistant head of nursing department also has certain professional areas of responsibility in the department and is a shift arrangement by agreement.

We are looking for a positive, solution-oriented and driven leader who is interested in providing excellent and professional services to the residents of the home and their relatives.

The assistant head of nursing is part of Hrafnista's management group.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• General nursing
• Assistance in the management and operation of the nursing department
• Organization of staff work in accordance with the needs of service recipients
• Monitoring and evaluation of the quality of nursing
• Advice and education for service recipients and relatives
• Teamwork

Educational and competency requirements

• Icelandic nursing license
• Management experience an advantage
• Experience with the RAI measuring device is an advantage
• Initiative, positivity and professional ambition
• Good interpersonal skills
