Occupational therapist - Hrafnista Hraunvangi

Hrafnista Hraunvangi is looking to hire an occupational therapist in the rehabilitation department.

Employment rate is a matter of agreement.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for the occupational therapy he provides and assessment of the effectiveness of treatment
  • Assess skills, provide skills training and advice
  • Registration and reporting
  • Education and planning of the work of occupational therapist assistants in the department
  • Education and group work for residents and relatives
  • Participation in group work
  • Participation in interdisciplinary collaboration/team
  • Participation in professional development

Educational and competency requirements

  • Icelandic work permit as an occupational therapist 
  • Interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
  • Organizational skills, initiative and independence in working methods
  • Icelandic skills

Hrafnista operates seven nursing homes in the capital area and in Reykjanesbær. They are Laugarás, Sléttuvegur, Skógarbær, Boðaþing, Ísafold, Hraunvangur and Nesvellir.
