By convention, Sailor's Day was celebrated in the Hrafnist homes. There was hospitality in all homes and a special festival program was offered for the occasion.<\/p>\n
At Hrafnista in Laugar\u00e1s, L\u00fa\u00f0rasveit Reykjav\u00edkur started the festival as usual in the garden, but due to the strong wind, they retreated into the house. Reverend Sigur\u00f0ur J\u00f3nsson led a festival service and as a result, Hj\u00f6rd\u00eds Geirs and DAS took care of the band about the fun and sang the fishermen's songs at the cafe in Sk\u00e1lafell.<\/p>\n
At Hrafnista Hraunvangi in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur's Brass Band started the day by playing over outside the Cultural Hall. Sr. Sighvatur Karlsson, a priest in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Church, took care of the ceremony at Sj\u00f3mannamessa and Matth\u00edas \u00c6gisson took care of the accompaniment to the piano. At lunchtime, delicious chops were offered and immediately after noon the program continued and the singer Mar\u00eda B\u00f3el sang some old and well-known songs to great acclaim. Coffee was served for guests and pedestrians.<\/p>\n
Matth\u00edas \u00c6gisson and Hei\u00f0a Hr\u00f6nn Har\u00f0ard\u00f3ttir played and sang for the residents of Hrafnista Nesv\u00e4llir and Hrafnista Hl\u00e9vang in Reykjanesb\u00e6r, on the occasion of the day, and many people agreed in the song.
\nOn the plain of quality of life core, Hrafnistu Sl\u00e9ttuvegi, the band S\u00f3l\u00f3 took care of the fun.<\/p>\n
