\nHrafnista is the largest operator of geriatric services in the country and operates 7 nursing homes in 5 municipalities. Hrafnista is a subsidiary of the Seamen's Day Council, but the company traces its history until 1957 when Hrafnista Laugar\u00e1s started operating. About 900 people live in Hrafnista and about 1000 more receive other services.
